Miro Brugman is an Argentinean artist living in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Her favorite medium is ceramics, from which she usually produces objects that are between sculpture and design, between the artistic and the useful. Her style is influenced by the world of illustration, and she imagines original characters that are like clients from a semi-imaginary mythology. Sometimes her figures escape from the sculptures out into the painting, so they are enlarged and adapted to the dimensions of street walls and special spaces. In recent years, Miró also began to express in her works her political and social views, in particular regarding the status of women in Latin America.
