At Abraham, travel is about more than getting from place to place – it’s about connecting with people, cultures, and the world around us. We’re locally rooted, globally conscious, and socially responsible, guided by four pillars: Fair Employment, Local & Sustainable Procurement, Social Inclusion & Cultural Tolerance, and Environmental Responsibility.
These values shape how we hire, source, host, and operate – uplifting communities, empowering individuals, and reducing our environmental footprint.
Each year, we publish a detailed Impact Report that tracks our environmental, social, and economic performance, to ensure transparency and remain accountable, not only to our guests and partners, but also to ourselves.
The reports feature clear KPIs, data, and stories that highlight Abraham’s actions in areas like sustainability, local procurement, employee wellbeing, and community engagement.
They help us measure progress, reflect on our efforts, and ensure that our commitment to sustainability is both meaningful and measurable.
We’re proud to be the first tourism company in Israel to receive the prestigious GSTC certification for both our hostels and tours, a major milestone in our commitment to responsible travel.
This recognition follows over a year of in-depth work across all areas of our operations, and places Abraham among a global network of tourism businesses dedicated to environmental sustainability, social impact, and continuous improvement.
The certification strengthens our mission to lead tourism in the region with integrity, transparency, and care for people and the planet.
Local initiatives, social change, and meaningful experiences – this is what our commitment looks like.
At the onset of the war, Abraham Group mobilized quickly to support displaced families, offering free accommodation in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, and Eilat to hundreds ineligible for government aid. In partnership with the Ministry of Education, we launched in-house schools and kindergartens, and provided emotional support zones with volunteer therapists – some evacuees themselves. These efforts fostered a sense of safety, community, and connection in the heart of chaos.
In the weeks that followed, The Abraham Tent project was launched to support young adults grieving the loss of friends and loved ones from October 7th. With over 460 participants, the program offered peer-led sessions, therapy circles, and creative healing, earning outstanding participant feedback and academic recognition. Across both initiatives, Abraham became more than a place to stay – it became a home, a community, and a source of resilience.
Our leading impact collaborations in 2025 focus on opening our spaces to meaningful community initiatives, selected together with our team.
Through a staff roundtable process, we identified the key social issues to prioritize as a company.
We partner with Blender, hosting rooftop language exchange events that bring diverse communities together, and with Hillel, supporting ex-Haredi artists through music and open mic nights. Also, we are hosting Culture of Solidarity, a civic mutual-aid organization – their volunteers gather in our TLV lounge to pack food parcels for community members in need.
We also co-produced EcoFest 2025 in Eilat, a citywide celebration of sustainability, the sea, and community.
These partnerships reflect our values and are powered by the people who bring them to life.
At Abraham, we don’t pursue impact for the accolades — but we’re proud when the travel and tourism community recognizes our work. From international awards to speaking on global stages, these moments affirm our commitment to hospitality with purpose.

Travel that makes a positive impact on local communities and the environment — by connecting with people, supporting local economies, and acting with care.
Because it protects nature, culture, and people — so destinations stay vibrant for the future. Plus, it feels better to be part of the story, not just an observer.
We work with local guides, small businesses, and social projects — so your trip helps fund culture, livelihoods, and sustainability where it matters.
Solar energy, water-saving systems, no single-use plastic, food waste reduction, recycling, public transport promotion, and partnerships with green suppliers.
It’s the leading global sustainability standard in tourism. We’re proud to be the first certified company in Israel — meeting strict criteria and reporting annually.
We track water, energy, waste, local sourcing, gender pay gaps, diversity, and more — then share it all in our public annual Impact Report.
Every year, we track our progress toward a better future.
