Accessibility Statement - Fazui Azar

Fauzi Azar makes every effort and invests a great deal of resources to provide customers with equitable, respectful, accessible and professional service. In accordance with the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Law, 5758-1998 and the regulations enacted under it, considerable efforts and resources are invested in making the necessary accessibility adjustments so that customers with a disability can enjoy the services offered at the hostel in a respectful, autonomous and equitable manner.

The building's accessibility arrangements

The following are the accessibility arrangements that exist at Fauzi Azar located in the heart of the Old City; address: 2606, Nazareth, 16125.

Accessible parking spaces

The hostel does not have a parking lot assigned to it, and there are no municipal parking lots in the vicinity that have accessible parking spaces.

Access routes

The hostel is located in the heart of the Old City’s alleyways. Access to it is via many stair runs, which cannot be navigated by persons who get about in a wheelchair.

Entry to persons with mobility limitations

Between the entrance level and the nearest level where a special unit can be built, there is a height difference of 200 cm, which can only be made accessible if a lift device is installed there. Since there is no access route from the street, and based on Article 4 of the Second Addendum to the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Regulations
(Accessibility Adjustments to a Public Place that constitutes an Existing Building), 5762-2011, the building is exempt from some accessibility requirements (exempt from accessibility for wheelchairs).

Accessible reception desk

The Reception desk has a hearing loop (audio induction loop)

Accessible seats

The seating areas and dining rooms offer guests accessible seats with a back rest and armrests.

Accessible unit

The bed can be raised.

Auxiliary (Assistive listening) kit

The following can be taken on temporary loan:
Personal wireless auxiliary system to listen to the radio and television; includes earphones and induction loop, personal volume control, rechargeable batteries and a stationary charger. A mobile, modular, wireless alert system to sources of sound that actuates, without delay, an alert about the activation of a sound source.
The alert is in the form of flashes of light, vibrations and an amplified audio signal that can be connected to a phone, smoke detector and warning systems, to a ring or to a knock at the door, as well as to an
alarm clock.
Portable case to store the kit and the operation instructions in Hebrew and English.

Accessible Customer Service

Training is conducted to acquaint employees with the subject of accessibility, to create awareness about accessibility among employees, and to equip them with practical tools to provide accessible service.
