As a hostel manager in the Abraham Group, you will be responsible for the ongoing operation of the hostel in an optimal and organization-value-based manner.

Abraham & Tours are a group of fun and friendly hostels that cater to independent travelers looking to explore Israel and experience our beautiful country and the Middle East to the fullest. Our Four hostels are located in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Nazareth and Eilat, and we operate tours all around Israel, the West Bank, Egypt and Jordan. About The Role

As a hostel manager in the Abraham Group, you will be responsible for the ongoing operation of the hostel in an optimal and organization-value-based manner. Your main focus will be on ensuring exceptional guest experiences, maintaining high standards of service, cleanliness, maintenance, and safety, as well as fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment for the hostel team. All of this while working in full collaboration with headquarters and parallel units to maintain consistent standards and achieve organizational goals. Additionally, as part of leading the organizational vision, you will be responsible for implementing the company’s impact practices to positively influence employees, the community, the environment, and the economy in the environment in which we operate.

The role includes:
Operational Excellence: Implementation and enforcement of operational standards and procedures to ensure the hostel’s ongoing and efficient operation.
Revenue Growth and Service Management: Encouraging and training the team to perform established service practices. Offering a comprehensive range of services to guests to maximize satisfaction while increasing revenue.

Leadership and Team Development: Recruiting, training, and coaching department managers and teams to empower them and provide them with tools for success in their role and the success of the hostel (direct management of 4 managers and indirect oversight of about 30 employees).

Guest Experience Management: Promoting guest satisfaction and loyalty by responding to their needs with professionalism, empathy, and dedication. Implementing strategies to improve the guest experience and maximize tourism as a force for positive change in communities and the world.

Financial Tracking: Managing, controlling, and adhering to the hostel budget by allocating resources efficiently for operational needs in ongoing collaboration with the finance department.

Your Experience & Skills

  • Proven track record of at least 3 years in hospitality/service/operations management (including management of managers).
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, based on empathy, respect, and inclusion.
  • Problem-solving skills and decision-making, focusing on operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Systematic vision.
  • Service and guest experience management.
  • Academic degree/relevant studies.
  • Good understanding and mastery of complex technological systems.
  • High proficiency in Hebrew and English.
